We had beyond beautiful weather here this weekend and we took advantage of it each day!
This week is BUSY for us!
I have workshops all week and Pat is finishing his last week of work! WOO!
Our best friends are getting married Friday and what better way to kick off summer than
with good friends and lots of dancing!! :)
Little weekend recap.
Friday
Pat was home early and the weather was beautiful!
We cleaned the boat and got it all ready for summer.
I made slow cooker Sloppy Joe's served over baked potatoes and we spent the night outside enjoying the weather and some beers :)
Saturday
We were up and ready to tackle the day!
This new local BBQ place opened up down the street from us and we have been dying to try it!
Here is the thing... their food is AMAZING and it was probably the best BBQ we have ever had... BUT
They are only open on the weekend AND they are only open until they sell out!
How crazy!
Pat got the brisket and I got the pulled pork.
We split the baked beans
and best part.... they were sampling burnt ends while we were eating!!
Umm heaven!!
They do not sauce anything, which I love because I don't like too much and I don't enjoy spicy food!
I HIGHLY recommend this place and we will for sure be going again!
We headed to my parent's to hang up the christmas gift we gave them.
We wanted to give them something they could use and enjoy!
It was HOT but teamwork got the lights hung up so they could enjoy them throughout the summer.
We grabbed dinner and then went to Pat's parents and my parents as well to enjoy the nice weather and new lights outside :)
Sunday
The BEST day!!!
BOAT DAY!
We took the boat out for the first sail of the summer!
The best feeling ever!
The weather again was hot and we enjoyed every minute.
We ended the night with sausages on the fire.
I kept telling pat all weekend that we deserve this weather.
WE DO!
Here in Illinois we only get about 3 or 4 months of nice, hot, enjoyable summer weather!
This weekend was divine :)
Im off to meal prep, do some laundry and work on grad school.
