I saw this and DIED!!!! My dad is always amazed at how similar/same my mom
and I are :) I definitely laughed out loud at this! 

FOUR.

Ok first off this will probably come back and haunt me when I have kids BUT we were at Costco
Monday night and dear God the amount of kids SCREAMING killed me. It was Around 7 so I am
SURE the kids were over the shopping trip! Definitely LOLed.

FIVE.

Trader Joe's finds this week I am

We are LOVING Survivor and all the twists and turns this season has brought! My LEAST fav contestant Sandra got voted off this week and I am THRILLED she was annoying and selfish and referred to herself as "The Queen" BYE FELICIA!!!!

Yesterday in my life lately post I talked about a recent shower I attended.
I picked up this dress at Old Navy a few weeks ago and I am OBSESSED with
this dress! Check out Old Navy's spring dresses HERE! They use this pattern in
multiple different items and I LOVE them all!

Life Lately~

We have had some really ugly and gross weather here in the Chicago land lately and I am counting the days until summer! My seniors at school have 22 days of school left and everyone including myself has about 33! WOO HOO!!

Life Lately has been fun, busy and full of memories! Here is a little look into life lately :)

We were so happy and excited and relaxed to spend the week in Marco with my parents.
It is such a treat to relax, spend time and have good convos with loved ones. We had great weather and we were truly blessed to spend a week in paradise with my parents :)
The countdown is on to summer weather for boating and camping!

I have been in the mood to just purge, clean, sanitize and wash everything!! I am not a lover of laundry but I love a good clean home. We have dark floors and the dust KILLS me. Just pains me. We could vacuum and sweep every day and we STILL wouldn't get it all. I found these two posts and have big plans for this week and our home :)

Our good friends Kara and Spencer are getting married in early June and this past weekend I attended Kara's beautiful bridal shower! It was held at a local golf course and their food is always to die for!
Pat is standing up in the wedding so attending the shower was fun for me! They are our very good friends and we cannot wait to celebrate in June!!

I found this ADORABLE dress for the shower and I have been obsessed with it. I am waiting for the warm weather to come back so I can wear it to school. I have a communion and graduation coming up and you can bet this will be my go to dress!

This AD for these cute little pillows came up on my instagram this week and I couldn't stop loving on them!!! They are my TO BUY list!! They are so cute and silly and out of the ordinary that they are a must have!!

Just a little life lately :) School has been super busy this week with the SAT and getting back from break. The kids NEED recess this time of year I swear! LOL

HGTV- Current Obsession

Today I am going to talk about my new current obsession... HGTV!!!!!

Now I have been watching HGTV on and off for YEARS but never got too interested or invested.

This past week on vacation, Pat and I would end our nights by watching HGTV in bed. At home we have a TV in our room, but no cable........ I am putting this on my list for my birthday :) hehehe!

Each night we would flip on HGTV and watch whatever show that was on. Whether it was house hunters, flip or flop or fixer upper, we watched any episode that we could!

Of course when we got home this weekend I could NOT stop watching what was on. It is a pure addiction. At home this week... making dinner? its on. Doing laundry? its on. I just cannot get enough!! I do have to say though at times some couples.... I just CANNOT with.

So what am I loving on HGTV? Here is what I am obsessed with so far :)

1. Flip or Flop

Ok yes I know I am behind the times on this show, but I am LOVING it! I know they are no longer together but I am loving the episodes HGTV has been showing! I think home renovations are UNREAL!!! I love them all! She bugs me a little but I am working with it! I would if I could do this for a living! Flip it or Flop it!!! I also am obsessed with the staging! I will take that job in a HEART BEAT :) 

2. Home Town

This is a new one I just recently stumbled upon! It was on last night and I already ADORE these two! I love their accents and all the southern charm! I think I am living in the wrong part of the country..... They are taking classic southern homes and keeping them and making them GORGEOUS!! The couple I watched last night choose a house, BUGGED me but I love these two so I will keep watching! 

3. House Hunters

Oh where do I even begin?? My dad and I have watched this for years and I still love it!! The styles, the locations, the people looking for homes, I LOVE it all!! They have like "beach edition" episodes and those are a fav!! The different places people look for homes is INSANE! We have seen everything from Mexico, to Honduras to Zanzibar. How wild to a buy a home in that exotic of a place!

4. Fixer Upper

Alright..... where have Chip and Joanna Gaines been ALL MY LIFE. Like please someone let me be their friend!!! I was ROARING laughing last night at the outtakes and bloopers episode. Chip is UNREAL and I need to meet him. Now I am behind on the times and just recently have been introduced to these two. I know they have Magnolia Farm but I must do more research :) This by FAR is my favorite. They are down to earth, southern people, who do what they love and still have time to raise a family! 

Now I can go on for days about episodes and favorites and least favorites but this is where I am so far with my current obsession!

It is SAT day at school so I am out early today! I bet you could never guess what I will be doing when I get home ;)

Table Talk Tuesday- Vacation Favorites

What is better than food? One thing. Vacation food :) 

From poolside snacks, to queso, caprese salad, jumbo prawns and a stuffed lobster, we ate THE BEST food all week in Marco!

I am going to recap some of the most fabulous food items and restaurants we ate at all week.

1st off. On the Sunday Pat and I arrived, my parents hosted a cook out! DELISH to say the least! Flank steak, famous salad, shrimp, cauliflower and rice. DEAR LORD was it amazing! 

Good people. Good food. Good times. 

 Monday we ate a late lunch so we opted for small plates at The Oyster Society.

Tuesday we dined in Naples at their new restaurant on 5th Avenue, Ocean Prime. 

Some of us had surf and some of us had turf :)

After fishing, on Wednesday  we stopped by a secret place we love, The Dolphin Tiki Hut. Why no food pics? We were HANGRY!!! We did apps before we headed to a Chicago place, one of our faves, Joey's Pizza.

Why don't I have any pics? We were busy eating :)

Calzone, Stromboli, sandwiches, soup and pizza. I don't think we ate enough :)

We shared: chicken nachos, Brie Bites (OMG AMAZE) and Boom Boom Shrimp

Pat and I went out for apps late Wednesday night since we were STUFFED from Wednesday's mid day snacks and lunch. We dined at Marco Prime. We shared a DELISH french onion soup and a Wagyu meatball. Outside dining with a walk around the shops. Perfect :)

Thursday. Oh THURSDAY!!!! We dined at Cafe de Marco.

This.... THIS PLACE. Man. One of a kind!

We shared a stuffed lobster which was to DIE FOR.

Then their signature dish...wait for it.... JUMBO PRAWNS!!!

Now Friday was our LAST day on the beach. We had a late breakfast so Pat and I decided lunch on the beach! We walked up to another favorite place, The Sunset Grille. I was wanting some chicken fingers and fries. THIS place delivered all my chicken and fry needs :) They even served the fingers and fries with homemade ranch. 

(If you know Pat and I, we ALWAYS critique restaurants on their ranch! It MUST be homemade!!)

ALL THE FEELS.

Reading this Y'all are like "Did they do anything besides eat?" Well yes. Yes we did. BUT we did have some fabulous, amazing, one of a kind meals.

We were very blessed each meal we shared with our family and friends. Each place was unique and offered different dishes each time we dined. I have turned into such a FOODIE. I could not pass up the opportunity for a good meal, good convos and good people.

Each place on here I HIGHLY recommend.

Vacation Recap- Short Edition

HELLO HELLO!!! It is SO good to be back here with you all!! Vacation was UNREAL!!! The waking up today for work wasn't so unreal but it's always good to get back into your weekly routine!

Today I am going to recapping a favorite from each day of vacation! We went to Marco Island once again and we were not disappointed :) The WHOLE trip was a favorite but I am going to highlight a little from each day!

SUNDAY

CUTEST DAD EVER!!! We had a cook out on Sunday with some friends!
Had a FAB meal and dad grilled! Of course BBALL was on :)

MONDAY

We went for a morning run and then went to breakfast with everyone
at a local place called  NeNe's :) Where I got THE cheesiest potatoes
EVER. LOL

TUESDAY

We went out to dinner in Naples on Tuesday Night at
Ocean Prime! We LOVED it :)

WEDNESDAY 

Our favorite fishing captain Sean took us out for a GLORIOUS
day of fishing and sunning :) 

THURSDAY

BY FAR best highlight!! We rented a scooter for the day
and we scooted all around town! I HIGHLY recommend this
to anyone :)

FRIDAY

We went and saw a movie last year so we made it a tradition
to go again! I HIGHLY recommend this movie!!!! Heart breaker but EVERYONE should
see it.

SATURDAY

YALLL!!!! Pat took this of me Saturday on early flight home. LOLOLOL I snoozed
the ENTIRE trip home. 430 am wake up call was rough :)

PHEW!!! What a trip :) When are we going back??
